DBSA Kalamazoo
The Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance
meetings are held every 1 st, 2 nd, and 3 rd Monday of the month from
7:00pm to 9:00pm at the Portage Chapel Hill United Methodist Church.
Meetings are open to consumers, families and friends. For more

Grief Recovery
Outreach Workshop
An educational workshop conducted for those who
have experienced the death of someone significant in their lives (even
a beloved pet). Tuesday evening six-week sessions or individual
sessions are available at no charge. For more information call Kathy

NAMI of Kalamazoo
The local chapter of the National Alliance on
Mental Illness meets monthly on the second Saturday morning of the
month from 10:00am to 12:00pm for an educational meeting followed by an
informal open meeting. They also meet for a support group on the fourth
Wednesday evening of the month from 7:30pm to 9:00pm. For immediate

Peers For Wellness
& Recovery
The Power Group provides educational
presentations to organizations within the community. The individuals in
the group share their personal journeys of recovery to promote
understanding and awareness of mental illness. For more information

Recovery, Inc.
This self-help group is for people with nervous
symptoms and fears, stress, depression, anger and other similar issues.

Second Time Around
A support and educational group for grandparents
raising grandchildren or other kinship care situations. This program
encourages 8 – 10 weeks of education before entrance into the

Schizophrenics
Anonymous
A peer support group for individuals with
schizophrenia. Meetings are open to consumers, family and friends. For

Survivors
of Suicide
An on-going support group for anyone that has

VNA Hospice Grief
Support Groups
