What Can You Expect
As part of your services provided through Kalamazoo Community Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, you can expect:
- To be treated with dignity and respect
- To be involved in the planning of your services
- To have choices in the resources and service providers you work with
- To receive assistance from us without discrimination
- To have access to services without regard to your ability to pay for them
If at any time you feel your needs are not being met, you may talk to your service provider or contact our customer services office. We will problem-solve your situation.
Who is Eligible
Any individual who needs help with substance abuse, with or without mental health issues and lives within Kalamazoo County may be eligible for services. Kalamazoo Community Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services is the service provider for Medicaid recipients.
Our Access Center staff will help determine whether you qualify for our services. Once this has been determined, our staff will meet with you to select the type of services needed.
Please bring these things with you to your access appointment:
- Proof of insurance (including Medicare and Medicaid)
- Authorization from your insurance company (as necessary)
- Recent pay stub or tax return (or other information to prove your income level)
- List of current medications
- List of allergies or medical conditions
- Necessary court documents (if you have a court appointedguardian)
Cost for Services
Fees are based upon your ability to pay or your health insurance coverage. No one is denied services because of an inability to pay. |
