Services for Adults with Mental Illness
Professional and caring assistance is available for individual who are experiencing mental illness. KCMHSAS will work with you in selecting the type of services needed to address your concerns.
Symptoms of mental illness or serious emotional conditions may include significant changes in:
- eating or sleeping habits
- mood (angry, irritable, withdrawn, depressed, sad)
- behavior (drug/alcohol abuse, criminal acts, violence, lethargy)
- thought or perceptions (hearing voices, uncontrollable thoughts, difficulty thinking clearly, thoughts to harm self or others)

Who can receive services?
Services which are available include but are no limited to:
- individualized assessments
- medication supports
- case management
- family support
- specialized residential or support placements
